The short answer

What is a cheaper alternative to NetSuite?

For companies under 250 people, Agaro ERP is a cheaper alternative to NetSuite: $29 per full user per month on Essentials or $49 on Scale, with no base platform fee. NetSuite is quoted per customer, but published 2026 guides put the base license at about $999 a month or more, plus $129 to $199 per full user per month, before implementation.

The problem

Why companies look for a NetSuite alternative.

02

Every login is a license

Named-user pricing means paying for people who only log in occasionally.

03

Implementation is a project

Rollouts usually run through Oracle or a partner, with scoping and change requests before go-live.

04

Quotes, not prices

Pricing is negotiated per customer, so you cannot compare costs without a sales cycle.

How it works

What switching to Agaro looks like, step by step.

Step 01
Open a workspace
Agaro is hosted. There is no base license, server, or install.
Step 02
Bring your NetSuite data
NetSuite is a supported transfer source, alongside file imports for everything else.
Step 03
Give the right access
Office staff take full seats; employees who only clock in, request time off, or download payslips get free accounts.
Step 04
Grow into Scale
Scale, at $49, adds multi-company, API and MCP access, custom access groups, and AI agents.

In depth

NetSuite versus Agaro ERP

NetSuite is a powerful cloud ERP built for companies that can absorb a base license, named-user licenses, and an implementation project. Many growing companies choose it because they have outgrown QuickBooks, then spend the first months paying for capacity and configuration they do not use yet.

Agaro ERP gives that same company one connected record for finance, inventory, CRM, and payroll at a published price, with nothing to implement before the first invoice. Essentials is $29 per full user per month with every module and role-based access with 5 fixed roles. Scale is $49 and adds full role-based and attribute-based access control (custom access groups, record rules, and field-level security), AI agents, API and MCP access, and multi-company. Employee accounts for clocking in, time off, and payslips are free, and payroll includes the first 10 employees each month, then $4 per employee.

Grow without renegotiating

Add a full user and the bill grows by one seat. Add an employee who only clocks in and it does not grow at all. When you need more than one company, the API, or custom access rules, move to Scale.

Who should stay on NetSuite

If you run complex manufacturing, need advanced revenue recognition across many subsidiaries and currencies, or depend on a NetSuite SuiteApp, NetSuite may remain the right fit. Agaro is for companies that want a complete ERP without the enterprise overhead.

At a $999 base plus $129 to $199 per user, 20 NetSuite users cost about $42,900 to $59,700 a year in licenses. On Agaro Scale, 20 full users cost $11,760 a year.

Agaro is built for small and mid-size companies. Enterprise contracts add volume pricing, pooled AI credits, and a migration project. SSO/SAML, dedicated databases, and on-premises hosting are not offered.
Yes. Agaro ERP has full role-based (RBAC) and attribute-based (ABAC) access control. Essentials includes role-based access with the 5 fixed roles, and Scale adds custom access groups with inheritance, access levels per module, read, write, create, and delete rights per data type, menu visibility, record rules, and field-level security. The AI assistant follows the same rules as the person using it, so it can never see or change more than they can.
